The Cortaca Jug rivalry is heading back to Yankee Stadium in 2026, as SUNY Cortland and Ithaca College will meet in the 67th edition of the “biggest little game in the nation” on Saturday, Nov. 14.
It marks the third time the Division III showdown will be played at a major venue in the New York City area, following record crowds at MetLife Stadium in 2019 and Yankee Stadium in 2022. Cortland will serve as the designated home team.
The historic rivalry, first played in 1930 and formalized in 1959 with the introduction of the Cortaca Jug trophy, has produced some of the largest crowds in Division III football history and remains one of the sport’s most recognized matchups.
