About Freddie and Fitzsimmons

Freddie Coleman and Ian Fitzsimmons focus on the sports news events of the day and the games in progress with an emphasis on strong opinion and reaction as it all unfolds.

Freddie D. Coleman joined ESPN Radio on June 26, 2004 as a co-host of the then-nightly primetime program GameNight. He currently co-hosts Freddie and Fitzsimmons.
Prior to joining ESPN Radio, Coleman was weekday afternoon co-host of FoxSportsRadio 980-AM in Albany, N.Y. (September 2002-June 2004).

Ian Fitzsimmons’ first radio gig was “comin’ to ya live” from a trailer in the middle of a cow pasture in Northport, Alabama on WSPZ. He then moved to Bristol, CT to be a producer for GameNight on ESPN Radio – back in the day of Chuck Wilson and Tony Bruno. Next stop was Birmingham, where he hosted “The Cheap Seats” on WJOX 690 before becoming co-host of “Herbstreit and Fitzsimmons” with Kirk Herbstreit of ESPN College GameDay. Other stops include Salt Lake City and 103.3 FM ESPN in Dallas. Ian has filled in on the network and regularly works sidelines for ESPN Radio NFL and college football games.
